Winter is a beautiful, black and tan, 6 year old male dog who has lived the shelter life for 5 years. He came to us shy and timid. We are not sure what happened to him the first year of his life, but among people he trusts, he is a pleasure to watch run, with his ears flying in the wind. He loves to play hide and seek, and if you hide behind a big tree and he can't find you, he will cautiously approach each one and then, take off when he spots you as if to say, 'You can't catch me.' and in the next minute, slowly approach you and lean in to you for a good scratch of the back. His fur is soft as velvet and he has liquid brown eyes which will melt your heart. He would love to find a couch to snuggle on with a human who loves him, but don't think you will hold him on your lap. He is a big boy, at 70 pounds and would love for you to come out and visit. It may take a few times before he is comfortable with you, but what's a few visits with a dog who has a heart full of love to share. October 15, xxxx, 5:03 am
